Life has a habit of being extremely challenging, consistently throwing up obstacles that test us to the limits. Add in to the mix
adolescence, social media and individuals who thrive on bullying; it’s very easy to experience a loss of self confidence and low
self esteem, looking in the mirror and not even recognising who you are anymore. As the founder of UP Strength, I have first
hand experience of this, as do many others.
Remember, these types of issues do affect people of all ages and backgrounds. Whilst coaching a highly qualified professional who
had reached the pinnacle of her career and had a wonderful supportive family, I discovered that she still experienced distress and
anxiety from bullying that had occurred at school over 30 years ago; she began to explain how it had completely knocked her
self confidence throughout her life, and remember this was over 30 years ago; bullying really does scar people for life.

As a graduate, Master Trainer, and the founder of UP Strength, I specialise in the use of fitness and mindset coaching to help you find the best version of yourself without losing you!
From my personal experience of bullying, low self esteem and a general lack of self confidence, I now believe that I am one of the lucky ones. Having developed my personal fitness, along with a positive mindset, I returned to my energetic self, never being happier.
From this experience, it became my aim to help as many people as possible who feel like they are on their own; whether it's from bullying, lack of self esteem, low confidence or you’ve just lost yourself.
I firmly believe in behavioural and lifestyle change through positive mindset, the right nutrition and of course fitness. I mention fitness last because unless all of the other parts are in place you will never get the healthier, happier lifestyle that you really want.

Progressing from my university education, I learnt from my personal experiences that it was my aim to create change and help others; becoming a Master Trainer fuelled my desire to launch UP Strength, which now enables me to fulfil this ambition.
I am not the stereo-typical gym freak that constantly drinks protein shakes and throws weights around. I'm not a Personal Trainer that doesn't care, or a PT that just wants you to lose weight. I am a qualified Master Trainer, specialising in fitness and mindset coaching, with a desire to help you create change and find the best version of yourself without losing you; and I believe that it starts with the mind first.
